When SASPER receives an earthquake warning message which is emitted for one minute, the audio automatically turns on amplifying the official sound of seismic alert through the installed speakers.
Every three hours, the central station transmits a supervision message that turns on the green signal light and makes the audio amplifier emit a trial tone for two seconds through every installed speaker, this periodic function allows the user to verify that the equipment is linked to SASMEX® and if it works correctly.
The SASPER has two indication lights: The red light indicates the presence of commercial electric energy. If the green light remains turned off, it indicates that the equipment has lost its link with the station that transmits warning notifications, and if the red light turns off, it indicates that the receiver lost its electric energy supply. The white button allows the early warning sound to be interrupted in either manual or automatic activation.
The receiver can be operated locally with its two internal buttons. If the red button is pushed for three seconds, the early warning sound is activated for one minute.
